Style Icon: Miley Cyrus

She's definately left her 'pop princess, disney star' image behind her now, and Miley Cyrus' iconic style is definately one to look out for. I've always thought Miley Cyrus has had an edgy and unique fashion sense and I don't think I've ever seen a picture of her wearing an outfit I wouldn't mind seeing in my own wardrobe. Without a doubt, her statement piece of clothing is vintage-looking denim shorts, and who can blame her?! No matter what time of year, she always just seems to make them work, alongside her chunky necklaces and boots varying from ankle length to up to over the knee. I also love how she makes her outfits look so effortless with her oversized tops tucked in with the shorts, jeans or even just paired with leggings creating the perfect casual look. Do you like Mileys fashion? And who are your style icons?

Top 5: Under £2 nail varnishes!

I've been obsessed with nail varnishes lately and just can't seem to resist going out shopping and not buying at least one new one and I've been really impressed with all the ones I've tried, especially bearing in mind the prices I've been paying!

Firstly, I bought 2 from the Collection 2000 'Hot Looks Fast Dry' range and the colours I picked up were Fruit Loop (46) and BMX Bandit (32). These nail varnishes have a really smooth consistency, do as the name says and dry fast, and need no more than 2 coats, if that. The colours I bought are perfect for spring and at a price of just £1.79 I just couldn't say no.

I also tried Miss Sporty's Quick Dry nail varnish in Shade 22 which is another perfect colour for spring. The brush is thick and flat making the application so much easier and the colour is so strong I needed no more than 1 coat. It's the most expensive out of my top 5, but it's only £1.99 so still a perfect price for a nail varnish!

The next brand I tried was Superdrugs own brand - Make Up Academy. I'd been eyeing up a few of their nail varnishes for a while, and finally decided I'd buy one. I bought Shade 19 and am so happy I did because I'd been looking for a nail varnish this colour for ages, and it came out exactly how I'd hoped. The only thing I would say is that you definitely need 2 coats as the actual nail varnish is very thin.

On Youtube, I'd been hearing so many good reviews about LA Colours nail varnish, (which you can't buy from Boots or Superdrug etc. but at Shepherds Bush Westfield, there's a shop called BeautyBase where you can buy them) and there was literally every colour imaginable. I bought 3 different colours all at 99p each but I have to say that Star Light was definitely my favorite one I got. It applies very easily despite looking slightly watery, and I just love glitter nail varnish! The only downside is that glitter nail varnish is very hard to get off, but it's worth it!

So they're my top 5 nail varnishes at the moment, what are yours?
